Violin Across Generations - Odense
Spend quality musical time with your child playing string instruments together.
Discover the wonderful world of the violin and other string instruments.
In this class we will learn the language of music and improvisation, play simple classical and jazz pieces and use a wide repertoire of traditional music (Danish, Swedish, Polish, Balkan, Klezmer and others). We’ll play mainly by ear, partly using the theory of Prof. E.E. Gordon ('mind before fingers').
We welcome both experienced players and beginners on the violin or any other string instrument such as the viola, cello or double bass; everyone will be given a task to suit their ability. We also use small percussion instruments and elements of body percussion in the workshops, so you can have fun even if you don't have an instrument at the moment.
Children from the age of 5 accompanied by an adult are welcome (each participant takes an active part in the class), but individual participants - teenagers and adults - are also welcome.
Join me and let's create an intimate string orchestra together. Playing the violin in an ensemble is a great adventure, especially as music brings generations together.
Minimum number of participants: 4 people.
Activities conducted in English.
